Description
Black Rock, one of the northern peaks of the Nazminsky ridge, is a remarkable place in the Taganay National Park, located near the city of Zlatoust. The height of this rock reaches 853 meters, and it is composed of snow-white quartzites. Black Rock attracts tourists with its unique view and unique history.
In order to get to the Black Rock, you can move in the direction of the village of Magnitka and follow the signs to the foot, where there is an equipped parking lot. The path from the parking lot to the observation deck takes about 20 minutes, and it can be walked without special equipment. At the very top of the rock there is a staircase that tourists can climb up, and along the entire route there is an ecological trail with information stands.
Black Rock not only serves as a site of beautiful scenery, but also has historical significance. In the past, there was a secret place for selling stolen horses, which gave the rock its name. The site is currently used for a variety of events, including Song for the Clouds bardic festivals.
In the west of the top of the Black Rock there is a small plateau from which a picturesque panoramic view opens onto the western slope of the Bolshoi Taganay ridge. However, the eastern part of the mountain is steep and difficult to access.
