Description
Zatonsky Bridge, also known as Old Zatonsky Bridge or Safronovsky Bridge, is the second road bridge over the Belaya River in the city of Ufa, located at the Safronovskaya crossing. This bridge is the largest in Bashkortostan.
Traffic along the three lanes of the bridge is organized in the direction of leaving the city. About 20 meters south of the Zatonsky Bridge is the New Zatonsky Bridge. Both bridges are equipped with a trolleybus contact network.
The Zatonsky Bridge was built between 1966 and 1971 by Bridge Train No. 414 of Bridge Construction Trust No. 4 according to a project developed by Evgeny Sergeevich Ulanov and S. F. Ignatov. The total length of the bridge is 837.8 meters, the height of the supports reaches 54 meters, and the depth of the foundation is 35–37 meters. During the construction of this bridge, for the first time in the BASSR, bored piles were used using a French drilling machine.
In 2009, the bridge underwent repair work.
On October 7, 2016, the New Zatonsky Bridge was opened according to the project of JSC Institute Giprostroymost.
