

Gurylev Estate (Ufa)
Description
The Gurylev estate, located at Gogol, 22, is a historical site of the city of Ufa and is an interesting architectural complex with a rich history.
This house, originally owned by local tradesman Nikolai Gurylev, was the center of life and cultural activity in the early 20th century. It was home to such outstanding personalities as geobotanist Alexander Noskov and bacteriologist Vladimir Kryzhanovsky. Therefore, it is also known as the house of Noskov and Kryzhanovsky.
The house is distinguished by its architectural style, which includes elements of both Russian and Western European styles. On its territory there were several buildings that formed an entire ensemble. The height of the house and the presence of an open terrace on the second floor give it a special charm.
Cultural events were organized at Gurylev’s estate, scientific research was conducted, and charity work was also carried out. Scientists and doctors, including eminent specialists in biology and medicine, lived and worked in the house.

Приехали с мужем посмотреть старинные особняки, т.к. очень любим нашу старую Уфу. Прошли посмотреть дома со двора. Из черного джипа, остановившегося напротив выскочил разьяренный мужик и стал орать на нас, что это территория суда и что мы обязаны ходить прямо по улице не приближаясь к домам! Хочу заметить, что никаких указателей, что ходить запрешено и что это частная территория там и близко нет. На наше негодование обозвал нас хамами и показал неприличный жест рукой согнув локоть. Его спутница, несмотря на наши возражения снимала нас на телефон во время всей перепалки...Вот такие они " хозяева мира". И вечный русский вопрос: " а судьи кто?"
