Description
The bust of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, installed in the park on Uritsky Street in the city of Ufa, is an important symbol of the memory of the heroic feat of this woman during the Great Patriotic War. The newly installed bust is part of the efforts to revive the square, where there was previously a full-length monument to Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya.
The initiative to revive the square began in 2016 with the participation of the administration of the Leninsky district. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers, schoolchildren, teachers and local residents, the landfill was eliminated, and the square was landscaped: paths, lighting, benches, asphalt, eco-tiles, fencing were installed, and trees were planted. Thus, the square again became a place of rest and memory for city residents.
The initiative to install a bust of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya in this park attracted the attention of not only local deputies and activists, but also many residents for whom this place is especially significant. The location was not chosen by chance - the square in front of the station, from where hundreds of thousands of soldiers and cultured residents of Bashkiria went to the front.
Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, the first female Hero of the Soviet Union, became a symbol of selflessness and patriotism. Her bust will become a constant reminder of how sacrificially many Soviet people fought and died during the Great Patriotic War. Its history is important for generations to remember and respect those who gave their lives for the victory over Nazism.
The initiative to revive the square and install a bust of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya reflects the desire to preserve and pass on to future generations the memory of the heroic past and the values of patriotism.
