Description

Mount Hedgehog is a hill about 250 meters high, which received its funny name due to its resemblance to the body of a hedgehog, whose muzzle is turned directly into the sea. Covered with dense forest, the mountain gives the appearance of hedgehog "needles", which makes the climb to the very top difficult. However, at an altitude of 67 meters there is an observation deck, which offers a magnificent view of the surrounding area, bays and the Caucasus Mountains, and it becomes an attractive place for tourists and lovers of beautiful landscapes.

Mount Hedgehog serves as a symbol for the resort village of Arkhipo-Osipovka, which is located next to Gelendzhik. In appearance, the mountain resembles the face of a hedgehog and stands at the edge of a mini-bay, protecting the village for thousands of years. It is about 245 meters high and its outline is easily recognizable due to its pointed tip facing the Black Sea. Dense forests and green “needles” give this mountain a special character, and the endless expanses of sea create an impressive picture.

Climbing the mountain, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the resort and the endless expanse of the sea, and observation decks provide a unique opportunity to view the coast from a bird's eye view and capture the beauty of the surrounding landscape in photographs.
