Description

The Svir Gorge, an amazing natural phenomenon in the Krasnodar Territory, is located near the village of Lazarevskoye and is part of the Sochi National Park.

The gorge is surrounded by majestic rocks and the Svirka River flows, which forms a unique Sochi canyon. This small but powerful mountain river creates numerous waterfalls and creeks along the way to its confluence with the Black Sea, starting its journey in the upper reaches of Mount Boztepe. The excursion trail allows you to carefully explore all the waterfalls, each of which has its own appeal.

Due to the shadow of the steep cliffs, sunlight rarely penetrates deep into the gorge, which makes the water here always cool (not exceeding 15 degrees), but this does not prevent tourists from swimming in one of the water bowls, especially in the hot summer. The Svir Gorge in Lazarevskoye is an ideal place for lovers of mountains and hiking. The road is sometimes difficult, with steep descents and ascents, but for the convenience of tourists the necessary infrastructure has been created: signs, information signs, bridges and stairs with handrails. Since the route includes both equipped trails and rocky areas, suitable footwear is recommended - sneakers, boots, etc.

The possibility of getting lost towards the gorge is minimal, since there are painted signs on stones, pebbles and trees along the entire path.

The natural attractions of the Svir Gorge include a diverse flora and clean air, which makes it attractive for visiting. Among the main attractions are the Adam and Eve, Svirsky and Mother-in-Law waterfalls.

Svirsky waterfall, the first of them, has a height of seven meters. It is believed that swimming under this waterfall helps wash away one's sins. The water forms a powerful column with white foam and bright splashes.

Next comes the "Mother-in-Law's Tears" waterfall, under which a natural reservoir is formed, suitable for swimming.

And finally, the Adam and Eve waterfall, hidden from prying eyes at the very end of the gorge. This cascade consists of two waterfalls of different heights.

Among other attractions of the gorge, it is worth highlighting the ancient stone dolmen in the shape of a trough, as well as the mysterious “Moon Stone”, which is believed to have mystical properties.

In addition to amazing natural landscapes, the Svir Gorge offers an abundance of places for relaxation and picnics, such as a grassy meadow in close proximity to the waterfalls, equipped with wooden tables, benches and barbecues.
