Description

The Golubiny Grotto, also known as the Golubiny Cave, is one of the most famous and visited caves of the Muradymovskoye Gorge Nature Reserve. The cave got its name thanks to the pigeons and bats that have chosen this place.

The Golubiny Grotto is located three kilometers from the village of Muradymovo (Yuldybaevo 3-e) in the Kugarchinsky District, on the right bank of the Bolshoy Ik River, at an altitude of 102 meters above the river. The cave offers a picturesque view of the surrounding area: the Muradymovo Gorge, the Bolshoy Ik River and the Muradymovo children's tourist base. The entrance to the cave is clearly visible from the shore.

Behind the entrance begins a hole about two meters long and 40 centimeters high, which is covered with wet clay and must be overcome by crawling. This hole connects the grotto with a small cave, the floor of which is covered with stone blocks and wet clay. There are numerous stalactites on the ceiling of the cave.
