Description

The stele "Pskov Stud Farm" exalts the history and achievements of the Pskov Stud Farm, which arose on the basis of Count Stroganov's estate "Volyshevo" in 1923. This plant, which occupied a complex of count stables, achieved notable success thanks to livestock specialist Anna Kunitskaya and its outstanding stallions.

An important stage in the history of the plant was the crossing of trotters of the Oryol and American breeds, which led to the appearance of unique offspring. The offspring of these stallions, such as Othello, Losk, Holguin, Tramp I and Prankster, performed highly at the international level, winning many awards and setting records.

However, today the level of achievements at the stud farm has noticeably decreased compared to the past. The descendants of the champions of the last century no longer demonstrate such outstanding results as their ancestors.

There is an opportunity to renovate and use the count's stables, but now the horses live in premises belonging to the factory itself. However, the possibility of repair requires approval of the project and the implementation of certain bureaucratic procedures.

The stele "Pskov Stud Farm" recalls the important role of this stud farm in history and the need to preserve its cultural heritage for future generations.
