Description

The Hammer and Sickle monument, erected on Mount Erke Pando near the village of Tornovoe in the Samara region, has long served as a main attraction and attracted tourists, cyclists and photographers. Located on a hill, the monument was visible from almost anywhere in the village and even from the asphalt road leading to Tornovoye from the Rozhdestveno-Shelekhmet highway.

The Hammer and Sickle monument symbolizes the unity of workers and peasants and was the main state emblem of the Soviet Union. Currently, this symbol is widely used in various communist parties around the world.

The climb to the monument does not require much effort, and tourists, cyclists or skiers who decide to visit it will be rewarded not only with a close-up view of the monument itself, but also with beautiful panoramas of the Volga floodplain, opening from this place for tens of kilometers around.
