The Museum of Nature of the Urals in Yekaterinburg is one of the significant sites of the Sverdlovsk Regional Museum of Local Lore, which houses a rich collection of artifacts of the flora and fauna of the Sverdlovsk region and neighboring regions. This museum is the oldest department of the local history museum and has existed for more than 150 years.

The museum displays various collections, including minerals, plant herbariums, models, collections of insects, shells, corals, as well as paleontological exhibits. Here you can see unique artifacts, such as Megaloceros skeletons and the remains of mammoths.

The museum's exhibition is divided into several thematic sections covering the geographical location of the region, the history of its formation, natural complexes, protected sites, as well as the relationship of the city with the environment and environmental problems.

The Museum of Nature is actively involved in educational activities and takes part in various events, including the international event "Night of Museums". Its visit is interesting and educational for schoolchildren, students and anyone interested in the nature of the Urals.

The museum is located at 4 Gorky Street, next to the old water tower, which makes it easily discoverable for visitors. Museum opening hours: Wednesday-Friday from 11:00 to 19:00, Saturday-Sunday from 11:00 to 18:00, and the museum is closed on Monday and Tuesday. The first Wednesday of every month is sanitary day.
