Description
Mount Brave, also known as the “TV tower” because of the radio repeater on its top, is a beautiful natural observation deck with a magnificent view of the man-made Zhigulevsk Sea, the Komsomolsky district of the city of Togliatti, as well as a panorama of the city of Zhigulevsk and the hydroelectric complex. At an altitude of 303 meters, Mount Otvazhnaya is formed by the steep slopes of the Zhiguli Upland with rocky outcrops of carbonate rocks.
From the left bank of the Kuibyshev Reservoir, the mountain looks impressive, possessing an inaccessible view. However, you can climb to the top of the mountain not only on foot, but also by car, since there is a road leading almost to the observation deck.
From the observation deck of Mount Otvazhnaya there is a panoramic view of Zhigulevsk, the Zhigulevskaya hydroelectric power station, the village of Shlyuzovoy and Mount Shishku, as well as Tolyatti. The peak of Mount Shishka, slightly lower than Otvazhnaya, is also a landmark in the surrounding area. Climbing Mount Brave is possible at any time of the year, providing various types of beautiful scenery.
This place attracts tourists and nature lovers with its unique appearance and beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes. When visiting the mountain, it is important to remember safety and not go close to the edge of the observation deck.
