Description
The Chapel of St. Alexander Nevsky, located in the village of Taiginka, part of the Kyshtym urban district, is a unique object that evokes surprise and admiration for its record construction time. Work on the construction of the chapel, according to the approved sketch, began on July 2, 2004, and by September 24 of the same year the builders completed their mission. During the construction process, it was decided to add a bell tower, which was not included in the original project.
On November 20, 2004, the chapel was solemnly consecrated in honor of St. Alexander Nevsky. The construction of the chapel was financed by the project initiator, Viktor Pichugov, who represents the village revival fund.
The opening of the chapel was accompanied by the participation of distinguished guests. Viktor Pichugov, a native of Taiginka and currently the head of the Nizhnevartovsk region and chairman of the board of directors of the Aganneftegazgeologiya company, came to consecrate the chapel. His visit was accompanied by a delegation from the Khanty-Mansiysk Okrug and Nizhnevartovsk region. Even the head of Kyshtym, Vyacheslav Shchekochikhin, despite being on vacation, showed respect for the event by attending the ceremony along with his deputies.
The implementation of the Orthodox rite and the consecration of the chapel were carried out by the priests of the Kyshtym church - Father Sergius, Father Vladimir and Dean Father George, rector of the Kasli church. The procession around the chapel became the culmination of the ceremony, symbolizing the acceptance of the chapel into the structure of the Kyshtym Church of the Nativity of Christ.
