Anbash is a lake located on the territory of the Kyshtym urban district of the Chelyabinsk region of Russia. The lake is located approximately 1 km south of the city and is surrounded by a village and station of the same name. The total area of the lake is approximately 250 hectares, and the water level reaches 249.7 m above sea level.
In the north, the lake connects with the Kyshtym city pond (Lake Pleso) through a channel (canal), and in the south - with Lake Malaya Akulya. On the northern shore of the lake there is a large village of Kaolinovy, and on the southern shore there are garden plots. The Argayash - Kyshtym road runs along the northeastern shore, and along the western shore there is the Kuznetskoye - Kyshtym highway and the Karabash (Pirit station) - Kyshtym railway.
The lake is home to various species of fish, such as pike, tench, perch, chebak, bream and crucian carp. Typical of the northern and western shores of the lake are reed thickets and wetlands.
Lake Anbash is located in the urban district of Kyshtym (Chelyabinsk region, Russia). The nearest settlements are the city of Kyshtym (2 km in the north) and the city of Ozersk (11 km in the northwest). The distance to the regional center, the city of Chelyabinsk, is about 90 km, and to the city of Yekaterinburg - 160 km. The lake is also known as "Ambash" or "Akbash", which is translated from Iranian as "filled". In July 2015, on the shore of Lake Anbash, a monument to the Kyshtym dwarf Alyoshenka was erected by the Kosmopoisk organization.
The lake's characteristics include an average depth of about 3 meters and a maximum depth of about 4 meters. The area of the lake is approximately 1.5 square kilometers (250 hectares). The bottom of the lake is mostly silt, but in some places it is sandy. There are several convenient places for swimming, characterized by a finely rocky bottom, and the shoreline of the lake is even and overgrown with reeds and reeds, especially in the northern part. The eastern and western shores of the lake are surrounded by dense mixed forest, while on the southern shore there are gardens of the Anbash and Medic dacha associations.
