Description
The Blue Lake in Ulyanovsk, although it got its name due to the special blue hue of the water, is actually a flooded quarry near the Seldinskoe highway. This reservoir, surrounded by picturesque nature, is known for its beauty and purity of water, which has long attracted both vacationers and freedivers who conduct their training here.
Despite plans to use the lake to build a hotel, these ideas were never brought to life. Thus, Blue Lake continues to remain accessible to everyone for swimming and enjoying nature. However, over the past few years there has been a problem with garbage on the lake. Local residents annually organize cleanup days to clean the banks and water, but even this does not always help.
Unfortunately, by mid-summer 2023, the problem with garbage on the lake had reached new proportions: the banks and driveways were once again littered with garbage, including in bags. This negative aspect negatively affects the overall impression of the place, which otherwise could be considered one of the most beautiful in the Ulyanovsk region.
