Description

The Church of the Life-Giving Trinity in Tankeyevka is a significant object of historical and cultural heritage. Its history goes back several centuries, starting in 1756, when an Orthodox parish was founded in the village of Tankeyevka.

In 1859, at the expense of landowner D.N. Bludov, according to the design of the architect K. Ton, a brick church of the Life-Giving Trinity with chapels was erected, including the honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. Later, two more chapels were added to the church, and in 1897 a bell tower was built according to the design of the architect F.N. Malinovsky.

During the Soviet years, the church was closed and fell into disrepair. However, in 2003, a prayer house was consecrated in the village, where services are held on church holidays.

The Church of the Life-Giving Trinity in Tankeyevka is a majestic brick building, more than thirty meters high, erected in 1873 according to the design of Konstantin Ton. This is the largest church complex in the area and a symbol not only of the village, but of the entire Spassky district.

Although there have been repeated attempts to close and destroy the church, it continues to attract attention with its grandeur and beauty. The village residents were always proud of their shrine and fought for its preservation in difficult times.

The village of Tankeyevka, located on the border of Tatarstan and the Ulyanovsk region, is a unique place that combines different cultures and traditions. It attracts tourists and travelers with its historical attractions and beautiful views.
