Description
A new monument dedicated to border guards of all generations was erected in Samara. This monument was placed in Victory Park. The grand opening took place on Sunday, May 27, 2018, and was timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the border service of the Federal Security Service (FSB).
The monument is a sculpture of a military man, a dog and a border pillar. This composition symbolizes the service of border guards, their devotion and courage. The initiators of the installation of the monument were border service veterans who wanted to pay tribute and gratitude to all border guards who have shown courage and dedication to their duty over many years and generations.
