The Museum of Natural History of Tatarstan, located in the building of the former Junkers School of the 19th century, is an important cultural, scientific and educational center of the region. The museum's exhibition occupies two floors and is presented in twelve halls, where a vast amount of interesting information from various fields of geological sciences is collected.
On the ground floor of the museum, visitors can get acquainted with a collection of meteorites, an interactive telescope and cosmic scales, which allow them to become familiar with the secrets of the Universe. The "Minerals of the Earth" hall displays sparkling crystals and polished sections of minerals from all over the world. Other halls of the museum talk about hypotheses of the origin of life, about the most ancient inhabitants of the planet, about the various stages of the formation of vertebrates, and much more.
On the second floor of the museum there are paleontological halls, where the main stages of the evolution of vertebrates are presented, from the first fish to the appearance of humans. Interactive blocks in the halls make it possible to draw the attention of young visitors to various aspects of paleontology.
The Museum of Natural History of Tatarstan offers an accessible presentation of information and the presence of tactile and interactive exhibits, which makes the museum’s exhibition attractive to visitors of any age. A variety of cultural and educational events are regularly held here, such as excursions, lectures, master classes, quests and quizzes, intended for all age categories. There are also creative clubs and studios here.
The Museum of Natural History of Tatarstan is the only museum and scientific-educational center in the Volga region that provides complete information about the geological history of our planet.
