Description

This temple was founded on a place where no structure had previously stood. Many local residents believe that the choice of this site for the construction of the temple has symbolic significance, since it is located opposite the city administration.
The laying of the first stone for the construction of the temple took place in 2003, and the place was consecrated by Archbishop Sergius of Samara and Syzran. Construction was completed in September 2008, when the domes were installed on the temple.
The architectural design of the temple belongs to A.E. Astakhov, and the interior interiors were designed by V.V. Chemirzov. The temple in honor of the Reigning Icon of the Mother of God has become one of the characteristic elements of the urban landscape of Samara and is a place for religious services and spiritual communication of believers.
