Description

In the central part of the city of Ishimbay there is a cozy and spiritual corner - the Holy Trinity Church, which has become a spiritual center for local residents since 1947. Until this time, believers gathered in private houses for prayers, since there was neither a temple nor a priest in the city.

The consent of local authorities in 1945 led to the allocation of a private house with a plot for the construction of a church. Despite the difficulties of the post-war period, the first wooden church in Ishimbay was consecrated in October 1947. However, due to the construction material - wood, repairs were required annually.

In 1988, another site was chosen for a new temple on the banks of the Tairuk River, but it failed due to the threat of floods. In 1993, a new site for construction was chosen, and already in 2004 the first parishioners were able to visit the new temple.

The architect of the new church was D.S. Sokolov, inspired by the Novgorod style of the 16th-17th centuries. Construction was carried out at the expense of citizens and enterprises. From 2003 to 2009, an iconostasis was installed inside the temple and painting of the vaults and walls was carried out. The illumination of the new temple took place in 2009.

Holy Trinity Church became not only a place of worship, but also a center of spiritual development. There is an Orthodox parish school at the temple, and in 2011 the temple became part of the Salavat diocese.
