Description

The Ice Cave, also known as the Rotten Cave, is located on the slope of the Belaya Mountain in the Belaya Gora tract on the territory of Samarskaya Luka, near the village of Podgory in the Volzhsky region. This is one of the most amazing natural attractions in the region.

The Ice Cave amazes with its unusual natural feature: even when the temperature outside rises to +27 degrees Celsius, inside the cave it remains constantly cold, about -5 degrees. This phenomenon gives it the name “Ice Cave”. The entrance to the underground cavity is extensive and artificially cleared of stones.

The walls of the cave are covered with a thick layer of ice all year round, making it truly icy. As you move deeper into the cave, the layer of ice becomes thicker and thicker, creating a mysterious and exciting atmosphere. This phenomenon still remains a mystery to scientists, and no one can give an exact explanation for the origin of this ice sheet inside the cave.

To visit the Ice Cave, you need to get to the White Mountain tract, which is located near the village of Podgory in the Volzhsky region. This place attracts tourists and nature lovers all year round for its amazing phenomenon of the ice wall inside the cave.
