Description

The Palace of Farmers, or in the Tatar "Igenchelar Sarai", is an impressive structure inscribed in the historical center of the city of Kazan. Located on Palace Square, it became the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan and a number of other important organizations.

The exterior of the palace is distinguished by its elegance and monumentality, while combining elements of various architectural styles. The building has two symmetrical wings with portals and a classic dome in the central part. It is reminiscent of such famous buildings as the Petit Palais in Vienna and the Vittoriano in Rome.

The interior of the palace, in contrast to the exterior, is made in a restrained style, using mainly available materials. On the left side of the building is the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture, and on the right are subordinate organizations.

In the evening, the palace attracts attention with its exquisite lighting, and the central element of the facade - a bronze tree 20 meters high - symbolizes the foliage. The height of the top of the central spire is 48 meters.

Construction of the palace began in the spring of 2008 and was completed in 2010. It caused a variety of opinions in society, from enthusiastic to critical. Some believe that its appearance in the historical center of Kazan contradicts the Kremlin security zone and distorts the appearance of the city, while others note its originality and beauty.

Despite different points of view, the Farmers' Palace has become one of the most famous modern landmarks of the city, attracting the attention of tourists and residents with its unique architectural appearance.
