Description
The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, built in 2006 in an unusual Siberian style for the Samara region, is a unique architectural creation. This parish was entirely made of wood, which makes it special among other churches in the area. In the village of Petra-Dubrava, craftsmen from the western part of Russia began building this temple, unusual in its style.
Construction of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary took about two years. First, the log house was manufactured and then delivered to Samara, where the craftsmen only carried out the assembly on site. Three types of wood were used during construction: larch for the floor, pine for the walls and interior decoration, and cedar was used to create Golgotha.
