Description
On June 1, 2012, in the square of Orenburg School No. 3 on Sovetskaya Street, a monument to the first teacher was unveiled. This sculptural group, created by sculptor Sergey Solomakha, consists of five figures. In the center stands a young teacher in a light dress, surrounded by four children - two boys and two girls. The children's gaze is directed at the teacher, and they hold bouquets of flowers in their hands. Next to the monument stands the "Wall of Glory," engraved with the names of the best teachers of the Orenburg region.
The initiative to create the monument belonged to the Minister of Education of the region, Vyacheslav Labuzov. Around the monument is a picturesque square with flower beds and benches for relaxation. The monument has become popular among tourists and city residents, and graduates take photos there every year to commemorate the occasion.
The large-scale composition includes not only the monument but also the "Wall of Glory," and the city administration has also carried out landscaping work in the square. The opening of the monument was attended by Governor Yuri Berg, Minister of Education of the Orenburg Region Vyacheslav Labuzov, teachers, and students.
