Description
The obelisk in the settlement of Grigoryevka in the Orenburg region is an important memorial dedicated to the memory of the residents who perished during the Great Patriotic War. This monument is a stele installed on a tiered pedestal. The names of all the residents of the Grigoryevsky rural council who did not return from the front are engraved on the side plates of the obelisk.
The first plate bears the inscription "NO ONE IS FORGOTTEN" and depicts the silhouette of a mourning girl, while the second plate bears the inscription "NOTHING IS FORGOTTEN" and the silhouette of a mourning warrior holding his removed helmet and weapon. These symbolic elements serve as reminders of the eternal memory and gratitude to the fallen heroes.
In front of the monument stands the Eternal Flame burner, which is lit during memorial and solemn events. This serves as a symbol of memory and reverence for the fallen heroes.
The monument is regularly maintained, and efforts are made to keep it in proper condition, highlighting the importance and symbolic significance of this place for the residents of Grigoryevka and the entire region.
