Description

The Church of the Archangel Michael on Studenoy Gora in Vladimir has a rich history that began in the 1880s, when the chairman of the board of the Charitable Society, M. M. Leontyev, took the initiative to build a church for local residents and children studying at a craft-literate school. Thanks to the efforts of Leontyev and other donors, as well as the support of Archbishop Feognost, the temple was erected and consecrated at the end of the 19th century.

During its existence, the temple has experienced changes and trials more than once, especially during the Soviet period, when it was closed and converted into a museum. In 1996, the building was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church, and after that the process of restoration and restoration began.

Today, the Church of the Archangel Michael on Icy Mountain is an important religious and cultural center of the city. It is visited by both believers and tourists to enjoy its architecture and rich history. It is also actively used for religious services and church events, restoring its role in the life of the city.
