Description
The Kinzelskoye Reservoir is a unique man-made structure located in the Orenburg Region. This is a place where nature comes to life, where you can enjoy the endless expanse of water, watch seagulls and herons standing like green walls of cattails and listen to the splash of water.
History of creation
The Kinzelskoye Reservoir arose thanks to the initiative and work of our fellow countryman, Nikolai Fedorovich Vasiliev, the former Minister of Land Reclamation of the USSR. Its creation was a real gift for the residents of the region. A modern pumping station equipped with the latest technology was built near the reservoir. Pipes and an irrigation system were laid from the station to the fields, which for many years supplied local farmland with water.
Description
The Kinzelskoye Reservoir pleases the eye with its picturesque views. The hot Orenburg sun, which does not spare anything living, reigns over this place at its zenith. The mountains, scorched by its rays, joyfully greet every cloud floating above them. All nature here has learned patience and endurance, frozen in anticipation of a saving breeze. A country road leads to an asphalt highway, from where a view opens onto a body of water filled with life and movement.
Geography
The Kinzelskoye Reservoir is connected to the Kinzelka River (or Kinzel), which flows in the Orenburg Region. The mouth of the river is 38 km along the right bank of the Maly Uran River. The length of the river is 19 km. According to the state water register of Russia, Kinzelka belongs to the Lower Volga Basin District. The water management section of the river is Samara from the Sorochinsky hydroelectric complex to the water metering station near the village of Elshanka. The river basin is the Volga, from the upper reaches of the Kuibyshev Reservoir to its mouth in the Caspian Sea.
Nature and recreation
The reservoir has become a real oasis in this arid region. Here you can admire nature, go fishing or just enjoy the peace and quiet. Around the reservoir there are recreation areas where you can have a picnic, walk along the shore or go boating.
The Kinzelskoye Reservoir is a place where nature and man have found harmony, creating together a unique corner for relaxation and inspiration.
