Description

On the outskirts of the village of Pervokrasnoye, in the Sorochinsky district of the Orenburg region, there is an architectural heritage - an old abandoned building that once served as a mill. Externally, the building has long been abandoned, but inside, various mechanisms associated with flour milling continue to exist. Judging by the state of preservation of the equipment, it belongs to the period around the 1950s, and the building itself dates from the beginning of the 20th century.

The mill has a five-story structure: the first two floors are made of brick, while the top three are made of wood. The first floor was intended for weighing equipment, the second - for machine tools and waste pits where wheat was stored. On the third floor there are various moving mechanisms and drives, and on the fourth floor there is a sieving unit designed for sorting flour and bran.

Interestingly, not a single nail was used in the construction of the mill, which speaks volumes about the skill of the local builders. The foundation of the building is made of brick with the addition of egg yolk, which gives it special strength.

A small room was added next to the main building, which was presumably used as a machine room with a steam boiler. There is also a dry canal nearby, indicating a possible early watermill. This artifact of history is a testament to the craftsmanship and industrial development of the region in the past.
