Description
A memorial stele dedicated to Vladimir Vysotsky was installed in the city park named after Vysotsky in Samara, at the intersection of Galaktionovskaya, Leningradskaya, Samara and Vysotsky streets. This monument to the famous author and musician was erected on July 23, 2000. Samara artist Alexander Temnikov created the composition, and the sculptor was Ivan Melnikov.
The stela represents a sculptural portrait of the poet in profile, as well as a white marble guitar, symbolizing his musical talent. The stone composition is engraved with lines from one of his famous songs:
"Maybe someday someone will light a candle
For my naked nerve,
in which I shout
And the cheerful manner in which I joke..."
