Description

The Civil Aviation Museum of Orenburg Airport was opened on August 17, 2015, on the eve of Russian Air Fleet Day and the 85th anniversary of Orenburg International Airport. The exhibition represents domestic aircraft of the previous generation, preserved as a memory for future generations and for the purpose of educating young people.

The museum is located on the territory adjacent to the Orenburg airport and occupies an area of 1 hectare. The territory is fenced with a metal fence and equipped with video surveillance with a screen display from the aviation security service. There is no entrance fee and visitors are given the opportunity to visit aircraft cabins.

The museum displays various airplanes and helicopters that were previously operated by Orenburg Airlines and Orenburg Airlines. Among them: An-2, An-24, Yak-40, Tu-134A, Tu-154B and the Mi-2 helicopter. These aircraft were created between 1970 and 1989 and were used by various aviation companies.

The Civil Aviation Museum is an important cultural site in the region and attracts many visitors interested in the history of aviation and aircraft of previous generations.
