Description
The Ashinsky cave complex is a fascinating archaeological study, revealing the rich history of the ancient inhabitants of this area. Consisting of 25 underground sites, including caves, grottoes, karst arches and a rock overhang, the complex provides insight into the life of ancient people throughout various historical eras.
One of the most notable objects is the karst arch “Babiye Ukho”, under which there are entrances to four small caves. The fragments of pottery and bones of ancient animals discovered here indicate that this place was a place of residence and hunting for ancient communities.
The nature around the cave complex is rich and varied, inhabited by various species of animals such as wolves, foxes and bears. This creates a unique atmosphere and attraction for those interested in nature and history.
Access to the caves is only possible on foot through the forested area. They are located 7 km northeast of the village of Tochilny in the Chelyabinsk region. Traveling by car is only possible along a dirt forest road, but requires caution, especially after rain. It is best to set up camp and leave your vehicles at the fork, and then continue on foot to the cave complex.
The Ashinsky cave complex is not only a historically important place, but also a unique opportunity for those who like to explore ancient history and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of this region.
