Springs, hot springs and geysers

Springs, wells and holy springs, mineral and hot springs, geysers and other places where groundwater comes to the surface. Many springs offer clean drinking water, holy springs often have a chapel and a bathing font, and hot springs and geysers are a rare natural phenomenon worth travelling far for. In some cases this also includes man-made standpipes, but only in hard-to-reach places where they become a landmark of their own.
