Description

The monument to Vladimir Vysotsky in Samara is an important symbol dedicated to the life and work of this outstanding Russian poet and actor. Erected next to the place where he performed in 1967, it conveys the legacy and influence he left in the hearts of many people.

It is interesting to note that the monument was created on the initiative of the former governor of the Samara region, Konstantin Titov, and the famous artist and sculptor Mikhail Shemyakin. This proposal appeared in the early 2000s, and thanks to the joint efforts and support of the memory fund, as well as the regional government, the monument was made a reality.

The opening of the monument took place on January 25, 2008, the day when Vysotsky would have turned 70 years old. This significant event was made possible thanks to close cooperation and mutual understanding between various public and government agencies.

The monument has become not only a place of memory, but also a place where people can meet, exchange impressions and be inspired by Vysotsky’s work. It has become part of the cultural heritage of the region and attracts many tourists and city residents.

Such initiatives remind us of the importance of preserving and passing on cultural heritage to future generations and highlight the role of art in shaping national identity and unity.
