Когда на Оренбургских Каргалинских медных рудниках стало нечем плавить медь т.к. сожгли все окрестные деревья,промышленники Твердышев и Мясников решили строить медеплавильные заводы в Башкирии... Вот один из них - в селе Верхотор,сюда на подводах возили медную руду из Каргалинских рудников. Здесь замечательно сохранились корпуса,плотина и водохранилище с красивейшим мостом.
