Description
The Belyaevsky district of the Orenburg region is famous for many historical places and unique attractions that reflect the culture and life of their ancestors. One of these amazing objects is the brick copper smelting furnaces of the 19th century, located 1.5 km south of the village of Krasnouralsk on the banks of the Burla River. The diameter of the surviving ovens is about one and a half meters.
The wealth of natural resources of the Belyaevsky region has attracted people's attention for centuries. The discovered copper ore outcrops, including the Saigachiy mine, were exploited from ancient times until the mid-20th century. Ore was mined at various points in the region, and then transported to copper smelters in the village of Krasnouralsk.
Today, some of the copper smelting furnaces of the 19th century have survived, despite the influence of nature and man. The four kilns, whose diameter is approximately 1.2-1.5 meters, are objects that attract the attention and interest of tourists and researchers. Today they are not only historical monuments, but also a symbol of the heritage and cultural heritage of the region.
Travelers note that at the foot of the hills of the Kzyladyr karst field one can find the blocked entrances of ore mines, indicating ancient copper ore mining in the area. Old pits and rock dumps have also been preserved in the area, indicating the use of mines since ancient times.
One of the caves in the area, discovered by geologists in 1977, became the site of an archaeological discovery. A burial of the Huns of the 4th century AD was found here, as well as a copper cauldron, which is now kept in the Hermitage. These unique artifacts testify to the importance of the historical heritage of the Belyaevsky district and its role in shaping the cultural image of the region.
