Description

The Chuchkhur Waterfalls are a cascade of waterfalls in the Dombay-Ulgen gorge, within Teberda National Park near the village of Dombay in Karachay-Cherkessia, Russia. The Dombay-Ulgen gorge is one of the sources that, joining the Alibek River, form the Amanauz River, a tributary of the Teberda (source: Wikipedia, article "Dombay").

A dirt track leads to the foot of the cascade, but it cannot be driven all the way: beyond a certain point lies a border zone, and visitors need a permit from the ranger's cabin to continue.

The trail running alongside the waterfalls themselves is very steep, so climbing up along the cascade calls for care.
