Mount Camel is not just a rocky peak in the vicinity of the village of Shiryaevo, but a real miracle of nature, which embodies a unique combination of beauty and mystery. Located in the Goat Horns tract, this mountain attracts attention with its unusual shape, similar to the head of a camel.
The name "Camel" is not accidentally assigned to this rock. Its shape and contours truly resemble the head of this animal, which makes it even more unique and memorable. However, the mountain not only amazes with its appearance, but also has amazing energy and mystical legends.
The mountain itself is made up of ancient rock outcrops, which makes it even more attractive for geology and nature lovers. From the top of the mountain there is a stunning view of the surrounding area, including the Volga River, Zhigulevsky Gate and other natural attractions of the region.
One of the special places on the mountain is the underground galleries, or adits, that cut through its bowels. Traces of human activity can still be found here, such as rail tracks, remains of wheelbarrows and other artifacts. Interestingly, today these adits are home to one of the largest colonies of bats in European Russia.
One of the most fascinating parts of the mountain is "Hans's grave" - a symbolic pile of stones with boots that has become part of local legend. According to this legend, Hans was a German prisoner who worked in the quarries in this area during the war. Its history is full of mysteries and tragedies, and its ghostly appearance appears before those who dare to disturb the peace of the mountain.
