Description
The Zharyk gully, located in the central part of the Aytuarskaya Steppe site, flows along the eastern flank of a steep synclinal fold. In this area you can observe rocky outcrops represented by limestones and conglomerates, which makes this area a unique geological monument.
The lower reaches of the Zharyk and Tashkak ravines serve as habitats for two burial mounds. The first burial ground consists of five mounds arranged in a chain. The diameter of these mounds varies from 8 to 26 meters, and the height does not exceed 0.5 meters. The second burial ground is located 6 km northeast of the village of Aituar and consists of eight mounds with a diameter of 7 to 11 meters and a height of 0.3 meters. All these mounds belong to the tribes of late nomadism in the Middle Ages.
The Kamyssay stream, flowing along the bottom of the ravine, either dries up or has an uneven flow by mid-summer. This occurs due to the filtration of water into the sediment aquifers of the Ural River.
