Fershampanuaz is a settlement in the Chelyabinsk region, the history of its name is associated with the French village of Fer-Champenoise, where the Nagaibak Cossacks fought against Napoleon's troops. One of the main attractions of this settlement is a private stone museum created by local stone enthusiast Alexander Maksimovich Matora. The museum was opened in 1996 and is the only one of its kind in the region. Alexander Maksimovich conducts tours, telling fascinating stories about each exhibit. The collection includes various stones found by him throughout Russia, as well as stone crafts and gemstones. The museum is located at 7 Stroiteley Street, and visits are by appointment only.
