Description
The stone church in the village of Ozerki was founded in 1999 in honor of All Saints, but was subsequently consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, apparently in honor of the main sponsor of the same name, who actively participated in the completion of many years of construction. The temple itself was solemnly consecrated on September 30, 2006 by Metropolitan of St. Petersburg and Ladoga Vladimir (Kotlyarov), after which the sponsors were presented with church awards.
According to priest Dionisy Kholodov, rector of the temple, the builders used the design of an Orthodox church created in 1905. However, he could not name the architect who developed the original design, nor the architect who made changes and finalized the design by the time construction was completed.
